Preparation
- Start preparing at least 6 weeks before the contest
- Practice your speech with different audiences for feedback
- Record yourself to identify and fix weak points
- Prepare for unexpected technical issues
Content Development
- Choose a topic you're genuinely passionate about
- Structure with a clear opening, body, and strong closing
- Include personal stories that audience can relate to
- Practice the 5-7 minute time limit religiously
Delivery
- Focus on connecting with the audience, not impressing judges

My Personal Take on Contests

2016-17
Led public relations and marketing initiatives to grow club membership and visibility. Managed social media presence, coordinated with local media for event coverage, and developed promotional strategies that increased club membership by 25% during my tenure.

2018-19
